Iowa

Iowa school districts historically have fully utilized QZABs.  Over the last two years, Iowa school districts are more interested in QSCBs because they are less restrictive than QZABS and can be used for new construction.  Jones County (Anamosa) Central SD, Dallas County (Dallas Center-Grimes) Community SD and Linn County (Cedar Rapids) City SD issued QSCBs in 2010. There are more requests for QSCBs – oversubscribing the QSCB program in Iowa.
