Montana
Requests for the Montana QSCB program
are over-subscribed by
$30 million. There is a definite need for and interest in QSCBs and
QZABs in Montana. Montana
has always used its QZAB allocations. QSCB
allocations for 2009 and 2010 are
fully allocated to school districts. In
2010 $76 million was requested by Montana
school districts for the Montana QSCB allocation of $62 million. The
Billings School District passed a local bond to
underwrite a $10 million QSCB and is using a $2 million QZAB as well.
Cayuse Prairie S.D. and Livingston S.D. are other
districts using QSCBs. Applications for an additional $30 million were
requested by school districts in Montana
after the allocations were distributed.
